Maintaining a brand personality across different communications vehicles is vital in encouraging familiarity and trust within an audience. As well as generating advert artwork we support ALR by managing e-communications (including the database) to owners at the yard and the racing club, The Entertainments Committee. The yard prides itself on its intimate, family appeal – as such regular communication and discussion with the whole ‘team’, staff and owners alike, is crucial. We are always looking to maintain focus on the yard as a whole but also to increase membership of the club through events and other marketing initiatives. The results Alastair achieves with his horses makes that job much easier.
Marketing Materials
As part of a marketing drive, and capitalising on a ‘new year, new start’ concept, a marketing communication was generated with details about the company in a branded folder together with a 2009 calendar as a gift. Although only a small number of folders were required for the initial mailing we encouraged the client to carefully consider the folder content so that the shelf-life wasn’t limited. This way, we were able to increase the print run. The format we devised means the folder is supplied flat, so surplus copies can be stored and made up as required while always looking fresh off the press.
Marketing Materials
It was imperative that marketing materials developed for this client were easy to pick up and not bulky. We also wanted to consider mailing costs for direct mail initiatives. A DL-size folder and inserts were developed, not only because they drop neatly in to any inside pocket but also because they fit a Letter envelope and therefore don’t incur Large Letter costs. To support this device at a conference, together with the company’s brand and message, a folder for reference materials, a notebook and pen were also produced.
Marketing Materials
Working together with another company providing materials for the same event can be complex, having to knit two approaches together for the same means. We worked in conjunction with a management training company to develop their content in a format suitable for the target audience and venue, creating a brand for the whole event at the same time. For Specialist Plant Services we first helped the team gather all the information required for their plant list and then categorise them in a way that makes it easy for customers to find what they are looking for. A lot of the development time, other than originating the design, was spent cross-referencing the items into relevant sections and page numbers.
